Standards for Student Success
About
The development of the West Virginia College and Career Readiness Dispositions and Standards for Student Success (WVCCRDSSS) provides an integrated approach to the holistic development of all students, and require integration into all aspects of each student’s educational experience. The WVCCRDSSS describe the attitudes, knowledge, skills, and dispositions all students need to develop in relation to academic and learning development; career and life planning; personal and social development; and global citizenship. The WVCCRDSSS are critical to the holistic development of all students and are essential for the success of all students. The WVCCRDSSS are foundational standards for all students and serve as primary standards for middle and high school teacher led, student advisory systems in all West Virginia schools.
Sponsored by the WVDE and the WVHEPC, the WV Student Success Leadership Council (WVSSLC) is comprised of secondary and postsecondary student leaders focused on a student-centered, statewide collaboration to further a culture of college and career readiness in WV.
