Evaluation Criteria for ELA Primary Instructional Resource Adoptions
2020-21 Instructional Resources Criteria
The criteria for the primary instructional resources can be found in the charts below.
In order to be considered a primary instructional resource, the resource must meet 100% of the Non-negotiable Criteria, a minimum of 80% of the General Criteria, and a minimum of 80% of the Specific Criteria. All primary instructional resources must include an interactive, digital component for students and may be all-digital or online.
Publishers are required to submit a correlation document for each of their materials to be considered as a primary instructional resource.
These correlation documents should be submitted to rbutler@k12.wv.us as soon as possible, but no later than December 31, 2020.
Publishers may request that a state-level review of their primary resources. The request is made within the registration documentation.
Each county school district will review the resources based on the criteria documents below. Counties may use a state-level review results rather than completing a review at the county level.
