The Arts

For middle and secondary students, an arts education is essential for fostering creative and cognitive growth and for promoting self-confidence, self-expression, inspiration, and joy. 

Through dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, West Virginia students develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills independently and collaboratively. Our arts education promotes proficiency in creating art, analyzing and processing feedback, building verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and being in collaborative relationships with peers. 

Our goal is to grow empathetic creators and consumers, as well as advocates for the arts.
