Restricted First Class/Full-Time Permit

Summary of Requirements

Use this form if you are employed on a first class/fill-time permit for a county but you do not meet the minimum grade point average requirement.

This permit is renewable and only valid for five years.

Full Requirements

Application

You must have the following qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen or hold eligible documents (WVBE Policy 5202)
  • Maintain good character
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • A grade point average no higher than 2.5 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Employment Required: Yes. the vacancy must have been posted with no certified individuals making application and an offer of employment must be made.
  • Signature of designated institution official confirming your enrollment in program
  • You must have recommendation from your county superintendent
