Social Studies
Through history, geography, economics, and civics, middle and secondary students develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions and learn how to become good citizens in a culturally diverse and democratic society.
West Virginia provides an integrated approach to social sciences and humanities. We teach students how to become participatory citizens aware of local and global issues and how to engage in matters that benefit all people.
HeaderWest Virginia State Social Studies Fair
The West Virginia State Social Studies Fair creates opportunities for students in grades 3 to 12 to excel in anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, state and local studies, and in U.S. and world history.
