Medicaid provides health care coverage administered by states, according to federal requirements for eligible low-income families, children and those with disabilities. States and the Federal Government jointly fund the program. West Virginia school districts may seek reimbursement from Medicaid for medically necessary services provided to disabled students with an Individualized Education Program.
